This is a beginner course aiming to expose toddlers to the awareness of music through things happening around them. Activities include singing, rhythmic games, music appreciations.

Level 1 Preparatory Class (Pre-JMC1)

Level 2 Preparatory Class (Pre-JMC2)
Register by Locations: Richmond, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Surrey, Granville.
This course aims to review the concepts learned in JMC1 in solfege singing, listening skill developments, keyboard skills. Students will be more prepared to advance to Yamaha Junior Music Course Level 2 (JMC2) in September 2015.

This is a beginner course aiming to develop interests in music through singing, keyboard playing and music appreciations. Students will advance to Young Musician Club Level 1 (YMC1) in September 2015.
This course aims to enrich the students’ keyboard playing skills through the learning of new repertoires, introduce the use of clavinova, learn different genres of music using clavinova as a tool, review keyboard harmony and improvisations. Students will advance to either JMC3 or JMC4 or JAC1 or JAC2 depending on what courses the students have completed.
This introductory class will let your child discover about playing the violin. Music fundamentals, postures, holding of instrument, basic techniques of playing will be introduced in fun games. Simple songs will be taught. Light performance on the last day.

This is Tom Lee Music course offering that will help you learn some songs in just a few short lessons during summer!

Learn to play Jazz with Keyboard/ Piano
If you have basic knowledge of keyboard/ piano playing, this will be a great chance to learn how to play jazz on the keyboard. Basic chords and variations will be taught.

Let your child explore and learn playing guitar and ukulele in this week-long camp. Basic techniques of playing, music notations, posture and simple songs will be taught. This is a great way to let your child to try on the instrument before the September class.

If you want to try playing the drums but not sure about lessons yet, join this week-long camp. Basic techniques of drumming, music notations are introduced in fun way. You got a chance to jam with your peers.

Improvisation and Composition Class
Learn to improvise with a given melody. Different chords and variations are taught. Students will be taught to compose through music appreciation analysis, and play their own composition. Students from the Yamaha JOC programs are welcome to join this fun class in the summer

Explore the Woodwind instruments
If you are going to join the school band but is not sure which instruments to take, this camp will allow you to have a hand on experience with the Saxophone, Flute or Clarinet. The instructor will demonstrate the basic technique, their function. Simple songs will be taught. Light performance on the last lesson
Course format: 1 hour weekly Group lessons
This chamber music course for string players who would like to play with their friends and peers. Coaching, workshops and performance technique will be taught. Performance opportunities will be scheduled. (Ongoing)

To enhance your learning and to keep up your practice habits in the summer. You may ask our Practice Coach to assist you in practicing properly according to your teachers’ need. Book your sessions with our administrators. (Ongoing)

A chance to jam together with guitar, bass, drum and keyboard player weekly. Band coaching and performance technique will be taught. Enjoy the time to share music together. (Ongoing)

This fun group is open to students who play trumpets, saxophones, trombones, bass, keyboard and drum. Repertoires will focus on Jazz, blues. A live concert will be scheduled at the end of the course. Tuition: $130 (included reg fee)

This is a performance course that explores and develops repertoire for six hands, four hands and eight hands on both one piano and two pianos and small groups of two or more keyboards. Performance opportunities will be scheduled. (Ongoing)

Summer Camps 2015
Come and experience our extraordinary musical summer programs for your child. We offer a variety of week- long programs as well as weekly programs throughout July and August for all ages. This is a great opportunity for your child to explore their musical talent, discover which instruments they like and have fun interacting with their peers.
Is your child interested in Music? Not sure what instrument to play? This camp will provide opportunity to learn the basic music skills in rhythm, music fundamentals, music history through fun games and activities. Campers will be introduced with an instrument per day. Hands on playing will be taught.

Summer Piano Examination Enhancement Camp
Want to improve your marks with your upcoming examinations, join this week-long intensive camp. Each day include technique, ear training, sight reading, Masterclass,coach practice sessions. Mock Examinations will be held on the last day with a mini lecture to go over the main details for improvement.
