The Waterfall Building played host to a very special event over the course of two evenings, as the ground-breaking Steinway Spirio made its Canada debut right here in Vancouver!

VIPs made their way into the building and enjoyed spirits and decadent appetizers, as Ron Losby, President of Steinway & Sons, Americas, and Graham Blank, Vice President and Director of Tom Lee Music presented Steinway’s greatest innovation in the past 70 years.

For the presentation, Steinway Artist Stewart Goodyear first performed live Chopin’s “Heroic” Polonaise in A-Flat Major, and also Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 12. Under the magic spell of Spirio, the audience witnessed the reproduction of the Sonata, including the delicate pedaling, subtle phrasing, soft trills, and thundering fortissimos, truly reflecting the artists unique emotion an nuances.

"Steinway Spirio connects the listener and the artist as only the world’s finest piano can," said Graham Blank. "Steinway Spirio technology has been engineered to meet our highest standards while creating a truly unique listening experience for all music enthusiasts, regardless of their own piano playing skills."
