In celebration of the International Day of Happiness, we spent some time with CTV National News Vancouver Bureau Chief, Melanie Nagy to show Canadians what happiness sounds like.

Nagy, accompanied by her cameraperson Jim Hoffman, joined our Vice President Graham Blank for a tour around our Granville building, visiting every department and interacting with our staff, each of whom shared their own personal story of how music makes them happy.

International Happiness Day, a campaign launched by the UN, aims to create a playlist full of happy tunes, which can include any song from any genre, so long as the song makes you happy. The United Nations encourages you to share the songs that make you happy with others; after all, music brings everyone together, a philosophy we’ve proudly stood behind since our establishment back in 1969!
