A group of talented performers from Young Artist Club under the Steinway Society of BC recently traveled with us to Toronto for their Summer Exchange Program with the Crescendo International Competition. The trip was a phenomenal and educational experience for everyone involved. The itinerary included a visit to the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Koerner Hall, an insightful masterclass with University of Toronto Music School professor James Parker and student performances at the George Ignatieff Theatre on The University of Toronto’s Trinity College campus and in our own Steinway Recital Hall at Steinway Piano Gallery Toronto. The children had the opportunity to perform alongside their international peers from Toronto, New York and New Jersey. This brought home the importance of connecting with young people from around the world through the universal language of music.

When they were not busy enriching their minds, our students had the pleasure of enjoying some lighthearted sightseeing in Toronto and the surrounding neighbourhoods. They thoroughly enjoyed roaming around the Markham Art Gallery, visiting the renowned CN Tower and overlooking the breathtaking beauty of Niagara Falls. The final evening included a wonderful celebration and award ceremony to acknowledge the musical progression and excellence of the proficient young musicians.
