Vancouver’s iconic Ironworks Studio hosted Steinway Artist Jane Coop and her brilliant idea of having a series of musical performances featuring an unusual yet gorgeous repertoire, as the first part of the Ironworks Sessions came to a close last week.

The first of the Ironworks Sessions had Coop pair up with internationally renowned flautist Lorna McGhee. The concert featured musical pieces from Iranian-American composer Reza Vali’s evocative solo flute Folksong, which also included a special video by Victor Ballesteros, Bartok and Dohnányi, Martinů, and JS. Bach. The two created a superb contemporary blend of refreshing music in a setting that was acoustically magnificent!

The next part of the Ironworks Session takes place on Friday, April 17th, which will showcase a solo performance by Jane Coop. More details on the Ironworks Sessions, including ticket information, can be found here.
