It was a snowy morning, and amazingly our tour bus arrived on time, picking up all 24 of us from Manhattan to Queens, home of the legendary Steinway Factory.

Teachers, parents, and students  were divided into 2 groups to tour around the factory.

The piano construction process was explained. Such an intricate piano takes an extraordinary amount of planning and detail.

The stringing session is all done by hand and custom made for each individual instrument.

The final touch up of the piano is done cautiously by staff, ensuring the best sound.

We were treated with a nice lunch at the end of the tour. Not only that, but the sun came out to melt all the snow!! We all had a wonderful time!
