The high-profile Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S Gala took place last week, which featured a headline performance from Hong Kong’s “Queen of Jazz”, Bianca Wu, who made her long and eagerly awaited return to Vancouver.

More than 800 VIPs, led by S.U.C.C.E.S.S Chairman Doug Purdie, CEO Queenie Choo and Founder Maggie Ip, gathered in the Grand Ballroom of the Westin Bayshore Hotel, as they enjoyed a champagne & dinner reception, while being soothed by Wu’s performance. The Steinway Grand Piano captured her musical essence perfectly by the wonderful accompaniment of the Bill Sample Band.

$481,280 was raised to support S.U.C.C.E.S.S social services, which includes innovative programming to assist new immigrants with settlement, support to families and individuals with personal issues, the development of children and youth, facilitation of parents and seniors in the community, and much more!
