MIDI SOLUTIONS VELOCITY Converter Midi Velocity Processor

The MIDI Solutions Velocity Converter applies selected velocity curves to incoming MIDI notes. Curves can be selected from 40 preset curves or auser defined curve. Even though the 40 presets offer a wide range of curves that are enough to cover most needs, the user curve makes the Velocity Converter a completely versatile device by allowing one curve to be created to an exact specification.

The Velocity Converter can apply a separate curve to each MIDI channel, allowing the velocity response of a sending keyboard to be matched to individual sound modules that are each set to receive on a different MIDI channel.

Another feature of the Velocity Converter is the option to assign velocities based on a selected incoming Control Change value. In this mode, the Velocity Converter monitors the value of a selected Control Change message on a selected MIDI channel, and applies this value to all incoming velocities on that MIDI channel. It is also possible to add an offset to this value to keep the outgoing velocities above a specified level.
